Come celebrate with us the 50th Anniversary of Tisch School of the Arts by experiencing media created by Tisch students from many different departments dedicated to exploring how to make an image moving. The films and images curated from UGFTV, Animation, Photo-Imaging, and Video Art from Special Programs will be exhibited concurrently on 15 HD video screens at The Hub, a video gallery at 138 Sullivan just south of Houston. While guests can view all the images displayed at once, there will be headsets with each monitor so guests can hear the sound of individual films they choose to explore in greater depth. In the brick-lined lower floor of the gallery there is a cabaret where music will be provided by students from the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and the Steinhardt School . We will also invite the larger NYC community to enjoy and write about the event. There will be drinks and desserts available for purchase. We intend this Soho Media Gallery event to give students exposure for their work in the real world. It is an experiment that we hope might take root in subsequent years. It provides the students a chance to see their work presented in an edgy, hip New York way. The artists whose work is on display are the voices of tomorrow. Join us in this opportunity to see another way our students are creating the future.
